George Barna, best-selling author and founder of the marketing-research
firm Barna Group, would point you to the Bible for your answer: “Where
there is no vision, the people perish.” (Proverbs 29:18)
“In every case I have studied, the vision entrusted to the
leader was not a simple matter of God paving the way to do
what came naturally or easily,” George says. “Invariably,
as true people of God seek to lead their churches, grasping
God's vision for their ministry requires them to invest in
the vision by attaining the vision itself, as well as by
implementing the vision.”
Along with visionary pastors Lon Solomon and John Jackson,
George will look at key components of vision during this
CCN broadcast Tuesday, March 30.
You will discover:
- What vision is … and isn't
- How to know if you have vision … or don't
- How you can gain vision
- How vision can make a difference in how you pursue ministry
- The myths Christian leaders have about vision
- How vision differs from mission
Learn practical steps you can take to discover God's unique
vision for you and ways you can share your vision to your
congregation. As George says, “Grasping God's vision for
your ministry is definitely not an option. It is
an absolute must.”
