Confrontation: Facing the Truth about God, Self and Others

Part of the "Groups that Grow"
Small Group Leadership Training Series

Bill Donahue, Executive Director of Small Group Ministries, Willow Creek Association; author of Leading Life-Changing Small Groups.

Confrontation takes feedback to the next level.

Many seek to avoid confrontation all together, but those who are wise understand its power to transform relationships.

In some situations, group leaders who master confrontation avert the need for conflict resolution!

This month on the Groups That Grow training series, small group leaders will gain the mindset and skills needed to deal openly and directly with problem areas in their small groups.

According to group expert Bill Donahue, confrontation accomplishes two things: "It solves problems and creates closeness and attachment among group members."

In this practical broadcast, small group leaders and pastors will discover how confrontation can:

  • Promote changes in behavior.
  • Bring healing to relationships.
  • Promote spiritual, relational and emotional growth.
  • Act as a mirror for truth.

Group leaders will also learn the importance of affirmation, listening and attitude in handling confrontation with grace.

Find out how a little confrontation can be good for the health of your groups!

Bill Donahue is the Executive Director of Small Group Ministries for the Willow Creek Association.
