We know from history that one person can make a tremendous difference.

When that one is joined by others, there's no force more powerful in all the world than people gathered together to effect change.

Join CCN and an inspiring panel of Christian believers who are answering the call of Christ to do their part to transform culture and make a better world.

Named for the "Better Hour" that William Wilberforce brought to 19th century England through his relentless commitment to abolish the transatlantic slave trade and launch over 60 reform "societies", The Better Hour Gatherings are a call to caring and involvement.

Today, America needs an army of modern-day Wilberforces: people trained to convene their friends and neighbors; people ready to facilitate gatherings of those with the character, hope, and passion needed to change the course of their neighborhoods, cities, nation - and even their world.

Learn how Better Hour Gatherings bring together people who want their lives to have meaning and their community to a better place. Discover how one such effort headed by panelist Chuck Stetson is responsible for introducing a textbook on the Bible into public school curriculum.

This special presentation will not only cast the vision, but it will give you the practical tools for creating these gatherings in your own community.

You'll hear true stories of Better Hour Gatherings, while learning new and exciting ways that Christians can engage, shape and change culture.

Dr. Cornell Haan says that engaging the culture means, "Getting involved with everyone in your community, not just the people who look like and sound like you..."

You'll learn how to:

  • Pray for your community.
  • Become aware of the concerns in your world: unemployment, illiteracy, education, drugs, violence, human trafficking.
  • Create a network of people to help carry the cause.
  • Provide accountability for leaders.
  • Work with people of different faiths - and no faith.
  • Rely on humility and servanthood.

According to Dr. Geoff Tunnecliffe the prophet Micah says it best in his call to act justly, to love mercy and to walk humbly with our God, "If we're going to engage our culture it has to be done with humility," he says.

Send a message of hope and purpose to your community! It's time to roll up our sleeves, get our hands dirty and see what God can do!
