Culture is shifting. What is the Church to do?
Milfred Minatrea says there are two responses to this current reality:
The difference that he would encourage: becoming a missional church. An expert on the missional church movement and the host of this CCN event, Minatrea defines the missional church as:
“A reproducing community of authentic disciples being equipped as missionaries sent by God to live and proclaim His Kingdom in their world.”
While the missional church may be seen by some as a new concept, Minatrea would respond that it’s actually a return to first century biblical Christianity. It’s not a program or a process; it’s a distinct culture.
Through spirituality, strategy, and structure, Minatrea believes churches can become missional churches by helping people place their focus upon:
-
Loving God
-
Living His mission
-
Loving people
- Leading them to follow
If you’re committed to being a missional church, if you’re thinking about embarking on this journey, or if you’ve been looking to learn more about this concept, this broadcast will help you on your way!
