What is the purpose of our work?
Is the workplace primarily a mission field where we seek to carry out the Great Commission? Is it mostly to support our families and earn enough extra to support the missions of our local church and parachurch organizations?
Or, is it something else? Could it be that secular work is the primary mission or ministry to which God has called most of the people in your church?
Gather pastors and church staff to hear Dennis Bakke and Brad Smith discuss the important role that the church plays in helping people understand the purpose of their work. Gather marketplace leaders together to give them new vision for the high calling of their work.
The program features interviews with both pastors and business professionals:
- Ray Bakke, Chair of the Board of Regents at Bakke Graduate University
- Don Overton, Pastor of Outreach, Fellowship Bible Church North
- Doug Holladay, Partner, Park Avenue Equity Partners
Hear what they consider to be our true job descriptions and the primary purpose for all work:
- The Genesis stewardship mission
- The Great Commission
- The Great Commandment
Inspire your community with challenge that - ultimately - all work is a call to love our neighbors.
