Who are you when you are at your best?
Isn't this the way you hope to relate to God and others?
Lynne Hybels and Lisa Hartman put it this way: How do we "fully engage in life in a way that is sustainable -- that doesn’t leave us drained of joy and energy?"
Invite the woman of your congregation and community to discover the keys to living with energy and joy in the special CCN broadcast, Permission to Breathe: Reclaiming Your Best Self.
Unfortunately, we often "lose the best parts of ourselves to things like hyperactivity, aggressiveness, impatience, irritability, anger, self-absorption, depression, numbness and insensitivity to others," say Lynne and Lisa.
Coming from the front lines of ministry, home and career, these two women have learned by experience how important it is to "balance output with input".
Now, you can give the women in your community the permission to discover God's best tools for breathing life back into their lives:
- Play
- Replenishing relationships
- Spiritual renewal
- Sabbath
In this inspiring program, women of all ages will not only learn the kinds of activities that refresh and energize, but they'll find ways to prevent burn-out by:
- Accepting their limitations
- Scheduling replenishing activities
- Noticing energy drains
- Responding to warning signs
- Learning intentional unavailability
- Reigning in technology
Give the women in your community permission to rest... permission for renewal... Permission to Breathe!
And so we are given a commandment: Remember the Sabbath. Rest is an essential enzyme of life, as necessary as air. Without rest, we cannot sustain the energy needed to have life.
